Ideal to accompany cured cheeses (Serra de Estrela Cheese PDO, “Leyden“ Cheese or Manchevo Cheese), fresh cheeses, curd, such as Beira Baixa Curd Cheese PDO, desserts, toasts and scones.

Negrinha do Douro Olive Paste with Spices

Ideal for cereal bread, fresh cereal bread and other types of bread, corn and rye bread, vegan crackers, wasabi or goat cheese and Swiss chard toast. Use in game dishes, to season salads such as couscous salad and Greek salad, vegetarian salads, and pasta, or to spread with cream cheese. Use as an aperitif.

Mango Chutney

Ideal for appetizers, seaweed toast, cured cheeses, hamburgers, sushi, and fish dishes, as a sauce for white meats, salads, to accompany poultry and game meats.

Orange Blossom Honey with Chilli meia.dúzia®

Use as a sweetener for tea, coffee or milk, or as a topping for natural yoghurts, cured and fresh cheeses, pancakes, crepes or scones. Ideal for sweet and sour sauces for meats or salads, grilled shrimp and in the preparation of cocktails. Pumpkin and Orange Jam with Rosemary and Eucalyptus Honey, Cinnamon and Port Wine

Rosemary and eucalyptus honey, more aromatic than other honeys, has a light brown tone and a more open aroma and palate. Originating in North and Central America, where it is still one of the mainstays of food, the pumpkin belongs to the same family as the melon and watermelon (cucurbits). The shape of the pumpkin is variable, but it is usually ovoid or oblong. The rind is usually orange, but it can have other colors depending on the species. The bright orange color of the pumpkin contains a high content of carotenes, particularly beta-carotene, with antioxidant action. Beta carotene is then converted into vitamin A in the body. Negrinha do Douro Olive Paste with Spices

The “Negrinha do Douro” olive, of Protected Domination of Origin (PDO), is grown in olive groves on the steep slopes of the Douro Valley region, northern Portugal, in a hot, dry climate and on schist soils. This olive, round and smooth, with a firm consistency, weighing an average of 3 to 5 grams each, has a yellowish-green to violet-black color, depending on the state of maturation. It is harvested manually on the slopes of the Douro Valley.

Orange Blossom Honey with Chilli meia.dúzia®

We have selected the smoothest honey from orange blossom in Algarve. A clearer and smoother honey than Rosmaninho and characterized by its accentuated acidity. The chilli, of intense red color, is a spice with a pungent flavor. The spiciness of the seeds, due to the presence of capsaicin (the active ingredient in pepper) is acrid, locally causing rapid and energetic stimulation. Organic honey is a product that has been subject to production rules, which require the breed to be indigenous and adapted to local conditions, the choice of installation of the apiaries must have access to water and sources of nectar, from MPB cultures or spontaneous vegetation, and comply with the distances to sources of contamination.
