It goes well with vinaigrettes for salads, appetizers with ham and smoked meats, toppings for ice cream or yogurt, and even as a topping for whipped cream and panacotta pies. Prepare a cocktail by combining it with vodka, gin and rum.

Red Wine (PDO) "Sonante" - Dão Region, 13% Vol.

  • Region: Sub-Region Serra da Estrela
  • Denomination: Dão DOP
  • Terroir: Terroir of granite soils, with an altitude between 400 and 600 Mts., marked by the influence of the mountain with 2,000 Mts of altitude.
  • Grapes: Tinta Roriz, Jaen and Touriga Nacional
  • Vineyards: Located in the areas of Vila Nova de Tazem and Gouveia, vineyards aged between 15 and 40 years.
  • Vinification: Grapes fully destemmed and gently crushed into stainless steel vats. Fermentation took place at controlled temperature of 23ºC, with smooth pumping over. Light aging in wooden barrels.
