We present our Easter Basket for the Godmother - Gastronomic Experience 4, a unique selection of high quality Portuguese gourmet products for the most demanding palates. Combining unique and innovative flavors, this hamper was carefully created to provide an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

This basket includes a selection of handmade jams, all of them produced with traditional methods and with great care. Among the jams included, we have the Rocha Pear with Moscatel, the Fundão Cherry with Brandy and the Blackberry with Hazelnut and Nutmeg. All are produced with fresh and quality ingredients, providing an authentic and delicious taste.

In addition to the handmade jams, this basket also includes a Fig Tree Liqueur, a liqueur with a smooth and delicate flavor that will perfectly complement the gastronomic experience. For cheese lovers, we include Dom Villas Cow Cheese and Palhais Gourmet Goat Cheese, both produced using traditional methods and of superior quality.

To complete this unique selection of products, we also include a DOC Douro Red Wine Papa Figos from the Douro Region, a superior quality wine, produced with selected grapes from the Douro region. And, to serve all these products in an elegant and practical way, we added a small pine board, with a handle, meia.dúzia®.

Ideal to accompany scones, toast, crepes and tea.

Excellent accompaniment to duck meat dishes, game meat, in the preparation of vinaigrettes for salads and in cocktails with Muscatel wine.

Fundão Cherry Extra Jam with Brandy

The characteristics of this sweet make it an ideal accompaniment to cheeses, Cheese from the Island of S. Jorge, Azores (PDO), Castelo Branco Fresh Cheese, “Beato de Tábara” Cheese, “Asiago” Cheese (PDO), with a mild flavor such as cow's cheese, topping for ice cream, cheesecake, waffles and crepes. You can also accompany a breakfast or snack with scones.

Blackberry Extra Jam with Hazelnut and Nutmeg

Ideal for pairing with Castelo Branco Fresh Cheese, “Camembert” Cheese (PDO), Beira Baixa Requeijão (PDO), “Manchego” Cheese (PDO).

Ideal for spreading oatmeal cookies, coconut cookies, cashew cookies, chocolate cookies, cereal bread, wholegrain toast, vegan cookies, and for creating cake recipes with chocolate cream. ‘Rocha’ Pear Extra Jam with ‘Douro’ Muscatel

Rocha Pear PDO is an exclusively Portuguese variety, produced mostly on the West Central Coast of Portugal, with an approximate production area of 10,000 ha. The soil and climate factors and the expertise of the people of the West are crucial conditions for obtaining this product with exceptional organoleptic qualities, which are appreciated and recognized worldwide.

Rocha Pear PDO – Protected Designation of Origin – has the Community recognition as a traditional, quality product, which is an integral part of the Portuguese Cultural Heritage.

Fundão Cherry Extra Jam with Brandy

The Fundão cherry has a firm and fleshy consistency and a very sweet flavor, whose color ranges from bright red to purple-red, and in the case of some varieties it can be from red to orange.

The brandy produced from the best Portuguese grapes, has a unique aroma and flavor that results from the distillation of grapes from the Arinto, Periquita, Trincadeira and Fernão Pires varieties.

Blackberry Extra Jam with Hazelnut and Nutmeg

The blackberry is a fruit of Asian origin that was later imported to Europe in the 17th century before being cultivated in other continents. Perhaps because it is a very fragile fruit, its production was largely reduced to domestic production. The blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) is the fruit (pseudoberry) of shrubs commonly known as brambles, of the Rosaceae family. Their shape gives them a very delicate texture that almost melts in the mouth. They have a sweet fragrance with a subtly acidic touch.

Nutmeg is one of the most appreciated and valued spices since antiquity for its aromatic, aphrodisiac and healing properties. The nutmeg fruit is a drupe, the size of an apricot. When it ripens, it divides and presents a seed surrounded by Nutmeg and Mace, and a lacy red layer known as “mace”. Mace is also marketed as a spice. Both nutmeg seed and mace are spices that contain many antioxidant chemical compounds known to act in disease prevention and health promotion.
